We built Flex Business Lawyer for companies that have outgrown doing legal work themselves but aren’t ready to hire in-house counsel. It’s a business lawyer on call, priced as a simple monthly subscription.
Flex Business Lawyer is a monthly legal subscription for small and mid-sized businesses, offered by Chase Neely, PC. For $1,997 per month, subscribers get up to 5 attorney hours to use on any business legal matter, including contracts, employment, governance, trademarks, disputes and transactions. Additional time is $550 per hour, and unused hours don't roll over. The service is built for companies with roughly $1 million to $5 million in revenue that need regular legal help but aren't ready to hire in-house counsel. Chris Clark, a business attorney with more than 20 years of practice, leads client work and coordinates licensed co-counsel when a matter requires it. The firm has offices in Charlotte, Nashville, Denver and Washington, DC.
Growing companies run into legal questions every month: a customer contract with odd terms, a contractor who might really be an employee, a partner who wants out. Under hourly billing, owners often skip the call because they can’t predict the bill. The question waits, and a small issue becomes an expensive one.
We started this service as In-House Legal, a five-hour monthly plan for founders. As it grew, we rebuilt it around a simpler idea: one plan, one price, and a lawyer who already knows your business when you need one. Flex Business Lawyer is the result.
We explain the risk, the options and what we'd recommend, in language you can act on.
A set monthly price, estimates upfront for larger matters, and no extra hours without your approval.
We look at legal questions the way an owner does: what it costs, what it protects and what it means for growth.
The subscription is designed so you ask the question before you sign, hire or send the email.
Chris Clark leads client work at Flex Business Lawyer. He has spent more than 20 years practicing business and intellectual property law, working where law, business, technology and creativity overlap. Chris coordinates your matters like a general counsel and brings in licensed co-counsel when a matter needs a lawyer admitted in another jurisdiction.
